We’re Hiring: Communications and Marketing Manager

Communications and Marketing Manager, full-time (37 hours per week, £24,050 pro-rata)
This role will be home-working, with some in-person meetings in Edinburgh required.

 

Job Description:

 

Working across both the charity Foundation for Positive Mental Health and Positive Rewards Ltd, leading on social media and content management. This involves looking after public facing communications, such as websites, blogs, newsletters and social media (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook), responding to user feedback via these channels, and liaison with external stakeholders, such as universities, to support their delivery of our resources.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Using creativity and expertise to communicate our value, USPs, and proposition.
  • Producing shareable content for social media.
  • Helping to develop and support a variety of marketing campaigns aimed at differing audiences.
  • Creating and researching stories for media posts.
  • Producing regular newsletters.
  • Proofreading articles/posts etc.
  • Helping to ensure content for FPMH and Feeling Good websites are up to date and creating – writing, editing, proofreading – new website content.
  • Stakeholder relations activity, for example maintaining communication to make sure they are getting our message across in the right way, and liaison with their comms dept over media campaigns to increase awareness and engagement of our resources
  • Supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns, from forming partnership marketing opportunities to social media marketing campaigns
    • This includes supporting further education ‘Student Wellbeing Ambassador’ roles with delivery and marketing of the Feeling Good app within their institution
  • Helping with funding applications or other admin tasks as agreed, such as monitoring our general information inbox.
  • Liaising regularly with the team by:
    • Attending weekly online team meetings.
    • Keeping in regular email contact with the team.

 

Person Specification:

  • Passionate about positive mental health.
  • Commitment to raising awareness to support destigmatisation of mental health.
  • Experience of developing and implementing social media campaigns.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience of marketing, particularly through social media.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team whilst also able to work strongly independently, well-utilising your own initiative.
  • To be able to work with and deliver a project to a deadline.
  • Experience with partnership working and strong relationship management skills.
